The Kingston DataTraveler bought for uploading our music collection and use in our Volvo. The delivery went within two business days. The USB stick - the part is so tiny that it really should not be called "Stick" - belongs certainly not the fastest. Copying 40GB of MP3s lasted 3 hours. Write speed is not the strength of this product. But as that happens with this amount of data only once, this for me was of no relevance. Just as, in principle, the read speed, because playing music is to storage media not have high expectations. This work done the DataTraveler without problems. The structure of titles / albums / artists hierarchy takes about 6 seconds for the many thousands of titles in the Volvo RTI Multimedia System. This is still acceptable by the operator. The faster Transcend stick in our other car takes about as long. The use in the car with such a small USB stick course optimal, as it being able to without causing mechanical damage to the socket, can just stay put. Price and functionality are strong as an ox at the Kingston DataTraveler for use in car entertainment system.
Tip for use in the car: As with many other car entertainment systems are reproduced in the Volvo RTI system USB memory in the order in which they were loaded onto the memory. In my case, the playback order has been twisted, ie the last track of an album was played first and first last. On a PC, the USB driver ensures that the representation of the sequence is sorted. In a car entertainment system the driver this intelligence have not often. Help offers (some hakelig-to-use) Freeware "DriveSort" that establishes the correct sequence in the file directory of the stick.
