The first impression after opening the packaging was very valuable, a massive housing, simple design and immediately apparent control and connection elements.
The commissioning was, as described in many product videos of Sonos, very very simple.
The player found after a few seconds the already existing Sonos component in the house and was ready for use.
I had previously scrapped a somewhat getting on in years and wanted to operate the amplifier still leftover boxes on. The Sonos AMP120 seemed based on the experience already made with the S5 player the right choice. The via software to use Equalizer provides not very many options but to a nearly similar sound to produce as with my discarded amplifier this was perfectly adequate.
The only complaint I have is how do I find the lack of a power switch. Here you have to provide a switchable socket operate around the unit permanently disconnect it from the power (after the restart after about 10 seconds again fully operational).
All in all I'm very happy with the product and will also add in the near future other Sonos components, the system convinced me easily.
