My absolute favorite album of all time

A Night at the Opera-Standard Version (Audio CD)

Customer Review

"A Night at the Opera" is one of those albums that enjoys rightly "favorite album status". This album is indestructible and sounds even after all these years, which it has under his belt, always fresh, rocky and almost timeless. It is one of those albums that you still like to hear even after many years, the always worthwhile to rediscover and which one does not weary even the hundredth hearing. As another reviewer on this site already declared: Today's "stars" should listen to this album and then best crawl crying in the basement.

When you consider that this album was recorded in the 1970s, one can only marvel if proved the innovations that Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon on this album. Classic hard rock tones alternate with beautiful ballads, folk melodies are replaced by Music Hall songs ("Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon") and of course there is still the brilliant "Bohemian Rhapsody", unsurpassed classics of rock music, which in a wonderful fashion elements pop, rock and opera together.

"A Night at the Opera" is also a wonderful "headphone record" in which you can feel how the music moves from one headset to another, a surround experience first class even if, like the author of these lines "only" has the classic vinyl edition of this album.

Conclusion: you would ask me what would be my favorite album of all time, I would without batting an eyelid with "A Night at the Opera" reply.

Anspieltips: "Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon", "39", "The Prophet's Song", "You're my best friend" and of course "Bohemian Rhapsody"
