The HX550 are wertig at first glance, their design is simple but wertig - the workmanship is excellent and as the associated (flat) cable works in themselves already high quality. Putting the headset for the first time and provides an x-any favorite song to the test at times a bit noisy, so you get almost immediately the full volume which delivered what can make the device: You get to a certain extent from the state of the whole skill of the HX550 popped around the ears. Not only the efficiency, the bass, the crisp highs and also otherwise all-round well-tuned sound surprise here, but also the fact that you "outside" the headphones hear nothing of it. When one adds the padding, the sturdy, width-adjustable strap and other immediately eyecatching features added, so the HX550 can convince fully already at the first impression.
- FACILITIES AND FEATURES -
Headphones with standard 3.5 mm stereo jack plugs that fits into various terminals (eg mobile phones). The flat, rotating ear cups cover completely off the ears and are the appropriate setting on so tight that the noise pollution around even adheres relatively low at high volumes.
A certain shortcoming, the 1.2m cable, which also had quite may be longer - on the other hand remains here but also the question of whether a longer cable would also mean that there is more confusion in your pocket when the otherwise very plans to transport compact headphones. On the plus side is that a flat cable for both handset is used, so that you only have the "left" receiver dangling cable. Very nice, I think.
In direct comparison with the devices of the competition, such as Sennheiser, shows that with the Panasonic HX550 is significantly higher than what other offer for the same price. The instrument sounds like twice as expensive devices from other manufacturers and is thus really in its price range, a pleasantly "upwards" settles forming power exotic. Especially for mobile phones (Sony and Samsung) and several tablets (including Sony and Asus) and on my laptop has in traditionally relatively weak output performance of these devices shown the high efficiency of the HX550: the headphones also makes there still "bang" where other devices fall into a whisper. The well-differentiated sound goes one step further in order to convince. Classical to Metal: no problem. Even at high volumes, there is no distortion in the sound. The stereo sound of very quietly holding up quite loudly just a consistently high quality level.
-- AFTER A WEEK --
After a week - even now nearly a month - did not have any flaws have shown. Only for the bus sleeper and with-headphones-in-bed-Lieger like me are in-ear headphones are still the much better choice because of the (exaggerated terms) will be invisible "bulky" ironing. For separating the HX550 and any other headphones that I so in such situations then perhaps use again, simply worlds: the sound is just awesome. In addition, the "bulkiness" limited compared to other devices in its class, and also quite this very individual shortcoming is easy CONSTRUCTION AND on utilization. By the tightness, the HX550 is yes for example also for sports and games; it can be seen already that you should give to such "flaws" little that can easily depend on the use. I attribute this information therefore only for completeness. In general, I am satisfied to 150% with what HX550 offers me.

Had it before only different, am but then gone over, rather than in-ear headphones to take this one on the bus. Since then accompany me the Panasonic daily on the bus and have never felt - neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor frost - abandoned. The sound quality is good as ever and you can see the headphones not indicate that they are experiencing a real ordeal every day. At the right price pleasant (I have not paid - but would pay) something that I had not really expected. Panasonic delivers here is definitely an incentive there to buy again, if these headphones someday not survive the coming and going but (hey, it has already stepped on it, they were used as a seat cushion and have a water break sheathes).
