So I now had the Stanley flask.
So far, she makes a very robust impression, which is also confirmed by the 25-year warranty.
The single plastic parts of the bottle are at the cover: the lever holding the lid, and the inside of the screw cap, which is also provided with a rubber sealing ring.
The lever stops in the hinge so that it remains opened, even if you turn the bottle with the lid open on the head. So you will not run the risk of getting the lid against cheek or forehead.
Unlike it can be seen in the photos, the bottle is not rectangular with radial ends, but wedge-shaped in plan view. I suppose that is designed to make still as lean as possible because of the relatively large drinking opening and trying the bottle. The size of the nozzle is sufficient - if they could be a bit bigger and quiet, for cleaning. The thread of the spout as the bottle made of stainless steel. Thus, the plastic inner side of the lid glides silently and pleasant when screwing.
Interesting: The steel body forwards - as expected - much better cold / heat than a glass. Thus, it is possible to fill this bag bottle with cold water and use the bottle to cool injuries. The other way around is very pleasant warm water now in winter. Of course, this effect does not last all too long (it's just a bottle, no thermos). A filling with boiling water should therefore be dangerous (you will certainly burn on the outside wall).
In the summer of the bottle by the way fits in any x-any fanny pack.
To taste: The water tastes even days after filling as it tasted beforehand - for water (I am very sensitive). No comparison to the aluminum water bottles at federal. Other liquids I would not fill in the bottle, because, as mentioned above, in pretty difficult to clean is (with a bottle brush to get just as into it). The packaging promises, however, that the material assumes no taste or odors from the content. Indications of a possible cleaning in the dishwasher I have not found would not try, since due to the small opening would probably many detergent residues left behind and the cleaning effect is not expected to be very pronounced (I.
According ground marked the bottle holds 8 oz = 237 ml. It weighs 133g empty, filled to coat top with water 394 g. So does that mean that it holds de facto 261 ml.
Conclusion: If you want to always have a "glass full of water" without connotation here is well advised with this bottle.
Addendum: The logo on the front is just a label that dissolves over time - but you can (almost) off without a trace him easily. The remaining glue can be rubbed off with the fingers and a little water.
