The keyboard has a very pleasant pressure point and is the very bright, backlit an absolute plus.
The click pad is a bit strange at the beginning, but I have learned to love quickly and use many of the intuitive multi-finger gestures.
The built-in camera and two microphones work very well for Viedeochats.
The display reflects relatively strong, but can be set so bright that it can be read even in bright sunlight. The colors are very good and the resolution is, in the small display, simply stunning.
What little disappointed me is the high heat, or strange fan control.
The MacBook has in fact only be very hot before the fan starts up correctly.
Also the power supply is loading, while the MacBook is in operation, very warm.
The fan runs continuously relatively slow and is phonetically perceptible only with the ear on the keyboard. At full speed, however, the volume is much higher, never disturbing.
By SSD MacBook is so often completely silent.
The more noise make it the built-in speakers. These are high-top in the laptop segment and can turn up very loud. It's not really ausmachbar whether the sound comes mainly from the Lüftereinlässen, from the fan outlet or from under the keyboard.
Also, the headphone output offers a good volume, can operate well with the high-impedance headphones also.
In order to estimate the performance benchmarks are probably more useful than my vote. I've got more power than I expected and I am especially excited about the SSD.
In the attractive packaging are, except for the MacBook, the power supply including extension cable, a bit of guidance and the well-known Apple stickers.
Conclusion:
The MacBook Pro Retina is an absolute premium product. With long battery life and a high mobility it provides high computing power for the whole day. The display you just have to love.
