My first mouthguard for Roller Derby

Since I started with the Roller Derby and there but also likes approaching a little harder, I have a face mask used. It was important to buy from the start something sensible and not some cheap product. Based on the previous Rezesionen I was a bit skeptical. But since I am not looking for a martial mouthguard and rarely or not at all be reckoned with in the face with direct blows, I dared in spite of the sharp edge and chose this mouthguard.
The sharp edge there really is, this is probably caused by the imprint of the logo. But we must not imagine a sharp edge as in hard plastic under the sharp edge. The whole product is made of a rubber or from the gel insert (but this should also be when it is cold). The edge I feel so normal when not wearing.

The fit for me I find very good, not too big and not too small, and I still have a wider jaw as the unshaped product.

The instructions for customizing I find not so good. I boiled the water using a kettle, then waited for the instructions, then placed the mouthguard into the water (60sec). It should be noted that one should place the mouthguard in no case longer than 60sec in the water, then briefly with tap water rinse, and then put in your mouth, then put in ice water.
The first attempt went wrong with me. But it may also be because I was too careful with the biting and has therefore made no real bite impression in the gel material. Then I put it in very cold water and tries again. The result was that the mouth guard did not fit and is equal kicked out again.
So second attempt!
Placed mouthguard back into the water, because the water was already something and thus was slightly colder, the mouthguard was this time a little longer in the water (approx. 90 sec). This time not rinsed under the tap water, but dierekt into his mouth. This time, the gel mass was also a bit softer, but not too soft. I have a little more firmly bitten, sucked the mouthguard vigorously and let Mundabkühlen and then again. In the cold water And voila! The mouthguard fits perfectly !!! No bitten by air holes, no falling out, I can talk, no gag reflex, everything as it should be.
Now you just need the endurance test in a game.

What I also like the color. While Pink is not for everyone, but it really is a beautiful pink and not so glaring as in the photo. Another advantage is that one does not confuse his mouthguard with others;)

I would buy on the current situation me this mouth guard at any time.

PS: What is to be noted even when customizing that the mouthguard should be directed to the gel insert downward placed in the water, because the thing is buoyant.
