The lens has met my expectations in spades.
I have used it for shooting in inaccessible channels and even to record details on buildings but could also animals (eg, waterfowl) photographed qualitatively as good from a safe distance that later sharpness and color brilliance were excellent even in excerpts.
A replay of Burano do I set up, I shot without a tripod at a distance of about 50 meters two weeks ago.
The lens apparently dates back to the "good old" Nikon-time is still adopted in solid metal and also "made in Japan". As the glass quality ED glass was used. It has an overall rock solid and very sophisticated look.
The lens is on the road an important complement to my other two travel lenses, the new Nikkor 28mm 1.8 G and also "good old" Nikkor 85mm 1.8D.
