How does it work anyway?
According to the manual / description the Wavelength of the light pulse from the device responds with the present in the hair / skin melanin (tanning pigment), the light is converted into heat. What you should know beforehand:
In principle, I recommend before the unit buys, about it to be clear that the HPL devices require much more time than the professional equipment in the studio. Therefore, you should bring a lot of patience. Also, I recommend before the first application of the affected areas to make 3 photos. The first photo the day before you would shave it normal manner, the second photo on the day on which one it would shave as normal and then one (if only once a week or even longer shaved one day apart anyway, then you should also between the photos are more time to be able to see the differences better). At least I would have to make the beard, because otherwise it can be really difficult to assess how successful you have been (and visible success is important for the patient)).
Furthermore, everyone should be clear that the whole thing can be quite kostenintensinv as private users!
Here's a little tip: Patience is a virtue, and these do not bring a lot of people with, so you can just as well this unit rows cheap in auction houses (everyone knows what is meant) and shoot at a fraction of the price! I shot my example for 86 including shipping and was only a few times "fired" using the supplied light unit because allegedly the skin tone was too dark.

The Application:
The manual says that one should not flash twice during a meeting places, because there's no point. I must say that I would have enjoyed doing so, however, it is not very easy to find out from where to where you already flashed and you therefore at times flashes often overlaps the surfaces. When lice Head (where I have the best results currently), I thought that I would have flashed well without overlapping, which has then but gzeigt in a fairly clear line of unremoved hairs. Therefore, I now about cutting deliberately prefer getting a little.
The light unit has a sensor which detects whether you have the device placed on light skin or even not at all hung up, I can tell you but assure that the anything but reliable functioning and there are often times "false positives" in which the unit then refuses to flash .. then you should just try to keep a little different. I also think that one could easily outsmart the sensor with a permanently glued on white sheet - I have not tried it though.
One should also not liver spots etc. flash (probably because of the color and possibly transmitted heat) mitblitzen (only the sensor should, I can say that I've tried that and no problems here .. had the nipple can be easily do not rest there;)).
The flash itself is really (!) Damn light!
Wear goggles I can recommend only if you then want to necessarily have and then only if it is one with orange lenses. I have namely a brought with dark glasses (because of the Beard) and which is so dark that you can see nothing -.-

Jain, it really depends on stage and location.
The pain scale ascending:
1. "Hm, did not notice anything at all."

6. "Ouch, that was really hot!"
If only little hair at one point, which in most cases are then quite thin, then you will almost always move in step 1-3 the pain scale. Except in the case (at least for me) the thigh flex the pelvis because kanns also give some real outliers upwards.
If you have quite a lot of hair in the affected area, you will almost always move around in pain area 2 and 5 at appropriate set intensity. In my opinion you have outliers upwards very quickly if the skin is very thin and little fat tissue underneath. Otherwise, a rule of thumb, the denser the hair, the hotter / schmerhafter wirds.
Worst of all, I personally find the beard because the hair really stand there very closely and absorb a lot of energy, but at the same time, the disc of the light use really fast extremely heats up, which is why you do not often just because of the disc itself often easy burns (stage 6 of the pain scale).
Impact / success / side effects:
In principle, of course, the higher the intensity of the device (level 1-5 = 3-5 Joules), the greater will be the success, but the sooner it will sometimes tweet correctly or be hot on the light unit. As the only unwanted side effect I noticed that I seemed a bit more often inflamed / have ingrown hair roots, but not so bad to have that, I would now think stop. I can of course be fooled and it's just coincidence or it seems to me just as if it would be more common.
Success in Bart: As it is written, I appreciate the hair fall by the beard currently at 40%, but that's only because I happen without comparison photos have taken stupid way and it can be really bad estimate.
