My ultimate HTPC

After a long search, I finally found the right hardware for my HTPC. Used Small and quiet, attractively priced and without much tinkering. Installation of a SSD and matching storage in suitable capacity can be easily performed. Criticism here is only attached at the screw for Bodenpaltte that are simply glued into the rubber feet and can be solved with only light screwing made of rubber. Since there are probably better solutions. So be careful when tightening and tighten only slightly. Super is the integrated infrared sensor, which is detected by installing the supplied driver with no problems of Windows and a MCE compatible remote control (unfortunately not included) can be operated. I use this a Pronto. Impeccable! The connection to my home theater is done via HDMI to the TV and via Toslink / SPDIF with an optical cable to my amplifier that does not support HDMI. The presence of the optical connector was imperative for me. Unfortunately other platforms do not have this opportunity and put here to complete HDMI. For the operation of the optical output with standard Toslink cable a 3.5mm jack adapter must be used, as a combo jack is used, which can also be used for headphones / speakers. The adapter is usefully included. Unfortunately, the connection is a compromise due to the front lead out, so that the optical cable disruptive projects forward. Reversing the AQ01 not go for the infrared receiver is also installed at the front as well. Therefore, I have not bought an angle adapter so that the optical cable can be guided laterally without large bending backwards to the amplifier. For me the best solution. I run the Zotac AQ01 under Windows7 with XBMC 12. So far, no problems. The hardware masters all my needs without any problems, and barely heats up in operation can also be used as a normal office PC. As office PC could attach the AQ01 with the enclosed mounting plate behind suitable monitors. I am already considering violently on if I do not replace my old PC with a second AQ01.
