What Pulp (and even on the last "This is Hardcore") to deliver on this record, has very little to do with the kitschy BritPop the past. Frontman and character face Jarvis Cocker sings on "We Love Life" of grass ("Weeds", "Weeds II"), the trees ("The Trees"), the birds in the garden ("The Birds in Your Garden") and from Sunrise ("Sunrise") and almost the same sounds that then also. But "We Love Life" sounds not only by nature, but now and then as if Pulp have really begun "loving life" that sounds. In any case, the last two minutes of "Wickerman" pretty much the best of the past year. The go namely under the skin. Very deep.
