shortly beforehand - I like the design per se. The function of the cover is also fine. The real problem is the thin neck of the bottle. ie where the lid at the end of the carafe makes the glass is so thin that a small shock to the faucet of the normal or prudent to spend the carafe in the dishwasher the Glass brings at this point to break. In the first carafe I blame still looking at me ... then as both the Second and Third carafe of mine bought at full price at the same point are broken, I can not follow the consistently positive reviews simply. in the last carafe example has fallen when touched a glass of already very loose cover the glass and broken by a very slight contact with the glass, the exposed neck of the carafe again -VÖLLIGE misconstruction.
