The update from the previous version in 2014 makes sense:
+ Software stability is similarly well
+ Nero Video now has a real cutting tool eg for easy removal of commercial breaks
+ Nero Recode can now again shorten the length of the video
+ Trim (resolution) of video now possible again with automatic support incl. Manual intervention
+ 4k support (I have not tested due to lack of raw material)
+ Nero Recode resumes perfectly the chapters from DVDs to MP4 files
The burning software is at the same level of the previous version.
Overall, the package is doing what it should -> therefore 3 stars
- Nero Recode can still create chapters (the Recode from the 10er version could)
- Nero Video still not exported the chapter in the MP4 files
- Nero Recode can eg series DVDs consequences not individually store (went in the 10er version yet) but all the consequences as a whole in a file
- Failures in Nero Recode remain nebulous (no clear announcements about errors, error file directly from the surface via button or link accessible)
- Stability of Nero Recode is sometimes behind the 10 version of Recode back (2 failures out of 10 encoded files)
- Partial view the files by recreating the job in Nero Recode but without error code (50% success rate with me)
- The same data can be for example in Nero Recode from the 10er version coding problems
- The surface of Nero Recode scattered the buttons and requires some very long way mouse to adjust all functions
- It can be defined indeed, what languages are accepted by default in Nero Recode, but their order is still not -> manual intervention each file still necessary
I do not know why the Nero people have still not incorporated large sections include in addition to the encoder settings (for already there profiles) the settings for audio tracks and subtitles. The treatment of audio data (LC-AAC or HE-AAC encoding / passing), order of the languages as well as video and audio bit rates must always be set manually.
That costs a lot of "mouse work" just in many files, everything always set correctly.
There are also the first signs for touch operation in the current software (Start-Center). However, that was it almost. Well, I need for video and burn any touch operation.
Conclusion:
Switching from version 11.12 or prior to version 10 is highly recommended update. It benefited noticeably.
Switching from version 10 I would not recommend a parallel installation (goes smoothly). Nero Recode 2014 not yet in all cases better than Recode 10. For the other tools are in some cases significantly better.
