Here's my first impression after I have purchased the product (Wifi / 32GB) directly from Sony before yesterday and yesterday morning already received.
My bias: I previously had a Iconia A500 with which I was far from satisfactory, but now due to a defect constantly broke. Was faithful to me long last .. more frustration than pleasure.
Now for the Z2 Tablet.
Speed:
Super fast, super liquid: No delays. Even large apps which are to remain in the background when you load another app quickly by switching back there again.
Small point of criticism: The here several times at the reviews called Touch-problem:
I have it, even frequently. I think so, each 10 to 20 touch on homescreen is not registered (wipe is not a problem, just tap). Did it not at first perceived, because I thought it too softes tapping. In Apps, it is not yet noticed.
I can not say that it (after the first few hours) really bother me. Wenns happens I type just still a little closer to the point. Maybe you have to get used a slightly firmer pressure, but really minimal.
I'll be watching the thing. If I had not read anything about it here, it would not be noticed and I would have attributed to myself.
The Dockungstation:
Is really disappointing processed cheaply, as mentioned in the local vote. Nice however, is that you can configure an app that starts as soon as one sets the tab in the docking station. For example, then serve the Tab while loading a digital picture frame or radio. The same is true for other devices: For example, plug in headphones, and automatically starts the MP3 App you trust.
For endurance of the batteries I can not say anything because I've just loaded. But this has taken too long to me: When I started the Tab the first time, was 72% charge level. Charger plugged in immediately, and after about 4 hours (during intensive use) it was at 100%.
Since I'm used to from my old valvate Iconia A500 better: In loose 2 hours during the use of the device is from 10% to 100%, and holds after a few hours. How long does the Z2, the days will tell.
Bottom line, I am very satisfied. Alone because of the low weight and the thickness (rather thin), it can be much better to use than my old A500 (750 grams and smooth slippery body!). Because that for the tablet's good: That you comfortably on the couch relaxed time surfing, playing a few games, listen to music, etc. This is only fun if the device is light and handy, and that's the Z2.
SUPPLEMENTARY 07.04.2014
Have reduced from 5 to 3 stars my review. The problem with the touch screen is there. It often happens, and it's increasingly disturbing. At first I was a lot on the set up and install. If as the touch does not react times, talking to a be, you would not really hit or something. This indeed goes eh lost only a small moment.
In Apps, especially gaming, it is more than disturbing. When oncoming vehicle does not yield, though you typed the time, it's annoying. Here you realize then but that the problem still occurs frequently, and all depends on what you do with the Tablet.
I will first write to Sony and wait for what they say. I do not know how to conduct myself. I want to send it back somehow reluctant because of the problem (which can be yes possibly solve via update) apart, there are on the market, no other tablet that can keep up with the Z2.
Incidentally reported a Taiwanese users who are already certified firmware SGP521_17.1.A.2.55 would not touch more problems (I 17.1.A.2.36). The firmware is not yet distributed, but it sounds hopeful.
I'll pimp my review back to 5 stars, once the touch problems are eliminated.

There are currently no defuse the situation. In my mail regarding. Touch the problems at Sony I have except the confirmation email received no response. A firmware update is not yet in sight.
The day before yesterday I had the hard variant of the problem that other users also have every now and then: The display could be via on / off switch to enable / disable, but the device did not turn off. The touch screen does not respond. Was quite desperate. The switch hold 10 seconds did nothing. Normally a screen question would have ("off", "Restart", ...) but apparently hung the device. Then I happened on it: When I use the volume control upwards and the switch retention 10 Seconds, drives the tablet down. Then I could start again as normal.
SUPPLEMENTARY 10/06/2014
The update to the latest firmware is now installed finally available after a long wait and with me for about 2 weeks.
My conclusion: It's better but not perfect. I suspect for some time, there are different problems with the touchscreen.
Have now read that it can also related to ground (device use in docking station, or in his hand)
- The simple touch on the home screen, which is not registered from time to time: Is less become, but not gone. If from time to time in front again. But it is not really annoying, you tap again and good. Often yes passierts not, and the homescreen ists not critical
- Permanent touch (for example when playing with virtual joystick). Here I have found no improvement
- Complete blockade of the touch screen: is very rare, but still happens. Had I been 3 times. 2 times before the update, and again after (!) The update. Is rare but extremely annoying. Trat been forever when Entsperrbildschirm. There are no fully accepted Touches. The device can not switch off times (well yet, until I found out after hours that you have to "higher volume" hold the switch along with several seconds.
My conclusion: It remains at 3 stars, because the problem is not solved. Nevertheless, I believe that the Tablet is so good that I would buy it despite the problems again. Because the total really rare defaulters are manageable, but that one has the most powerful tablet ever. I have so far never really had performance issues or any hanger. The Tablet's just fun!
So overall better, but not quite solved. The problems which occur most frequently, have become much less. The selteren problems are still there in my opinion.
