Mass Effect 3 is not a bad game. But in the long line of BioWare RPGs, which extends over 14 years, it is by far the most disappointing. After Mass Effect 2 had somehow painted into a corner and the question was large, because now there is yet to come apart from the villain to do in a big final battle. And pretty much what happened. The biggest problem of Mass Effect 3 is the lack of a reasonable story. Some parts of the game are in themselves the best parts of the series, if not all BW-RPGs. But even these parts just want to not really put in a quality overall product. And Beyond these sections very well-made, the game is a total of just loveless. Even Dragon Age 2 suffered, but in Mass Effect 3, it is particularly bitter. The much-criticized end is not as bad as the vortex suggestiert it. But what it will change nothing, that it is bad. The complete series, which puts it in a good 100 hours, revolves centrally around the question what current decisions for long-term consequences. But ultimately Sämmtliche decisions were completely inconsequential. 100 hours have been hundreds of decisions are made that would change the world in the long term, in a very significant way. But three minutes before the end, is all cleared at side and you have to choose between 3 options. What options do you have to choose from, and what is the consequence of this, has nothing to do with decisions from the rest of the game or the previous games. That was until shortly before publication nor large gepralt so that decisions of all three games are massively influence the outcome of the story focuses on the whole nor the crown. Because that's a lie pure and simple. Basically you need to play only the last 3 minutes everything else is meaningless to the outcome of the story.
Mass Effect 3 is a game with an incredible amount of wasted potential. Even 12 to 18 months additional development time, and it could easily have become one of the best games of all time. But what was delivered is simply made unloving and thrown loslos. Can I recommend this game? Only a very limited extent. Yes, it makes a lot of fun to play. But if you played Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, and now wants to know above all, how the story ends, then spoils the game actually more the joy of the series, as it would have something to contribute most impor. The latter actually falls away completely. Really new elements or unexpected turns really no longer come. For what the game has to offer, are 30 hours actually completely unnecessary. 5 hours would completely enough to tick off all the interesting things. In Amazon.co.uk the game only costs 17 pounds. Maybe it gets indeed here soon again significantly cheaper. There is then less shame about the good money. Pity about the patterns of potentially great story but it remains either way.
