1. All 3 toilets were not completely glazed. On our demand at Ideal Standard out whether this was a manufacturing defect, we were told tersely that the toilets would not be fully glazed and that this is not so provided. What is this for care and hygiene (bacteria grow particularly well known on rough surfaces) means anyone can imagine.
2. When the toilet seats we initially chose the variant "Soft Closing". In all 3 toilet seats after 1 year were the screws that secure the toilet seat on toilet, rusted. So it was over with Soft Closing.
Not only that, broke through the grate soon pieces of plastic cuffs, conceal the screws through the set - up and folding down the toilet seat off. Especially disgusting was the brown broth formed after brushing through the grate under the screw. The icing: The "plastic buffers", which are placed under the toilet seat and rest on the ceramic, got out cracks and immediately broke all the pieces from the plastic. In 2 half baths were each 2, with a total of 4 even 3 of these buffers, the "crumbled".
3. After we had endured this for some time annoyed, we opted for new toilet seats. This time it was the "normal" version without Soft Closing. Here at least the stainless steel hinges appear to be and show no signs of decay. However, the attachment is a disaster. There are two "Nüppel" that are screwed into the toilet and is put on and screwed on the later of the toilet seat. This "Nüppel" are only accessible from above and are also inserted from above. The theory is that the Nüppel be held in place by a type of "self-tightening" screw in place. In practice it does not work absolutely. The whole dissolves regularly on one side or the other, so that together with the toilet seat from sliding to the right or left. Currently we unscrew 1x per week each toilet seat and attach the screws again. Definitely too much effort for such an expensive product!
Conclusion: I will never again buy a product of this company. I would now, if I were faced with the decision to pay particular attention to practicality. This would be a product in which you can reach easily TWO SIDES and fix the toilet seat and in which one does not rely on the expensive parts of the provider. Hindsight is always smarter unfortunately. This toilet is poor quality for a lot of money!
