Never forget Keith Douglas!

Never forget Keith Douglas!

Keith Douglas (Poet to Poet) (Hardcover)

Customer Review

This master of poetry Should Never Be Forgotten, even though He Was Killed nearly 70 years ago. Keith Douglas is one of the top WW2 poets, and his emotion and strength of words is, at least to me, nearly unmatched. I was lucky enough to write my bachelor's thesis about him, so I am kind of in a position to say That whoever hasnt heard of this poet and likes deep and meaningful verses, Should not hesitate to buy this very good (and inexpensive) Collection Approximately half of of Douglas's work.

Poems recommended: Every single one.

My favorites: "Bête Noire (fragment)", "How To Kill", "Forget Me Not", "Aristocrats", "The Prisoner", "Cairo Jag", "Simplify Me When I'm Dead" and "On A Return From Egypt ".
