USB appears not only for data exchange, but also to enforce power. The funny little clamp lamp of Qumox delivers 1W with just as much light, how much is needed to read. Or to recognize, for example, the keyboard can (see also my "cellar pictures" for comparison below). Practically obtained with a commercial power bank a period reading light for many hours.
Of course, the guy can be operated with the gooseneck and the USB port of a laptop. The light seems a bit cold. The cone of light but by the built-in optics pleasant "streak-free" evenly. The lamp appears stable. The metal head doubles the heat dissipation.
Now it's TECHNICALLY
The lamp was somewhat carefully crafted. The solder joints do not look great, but are also likely to work long term. The metal head also serves as a heat sink (that's a good thing, because the series resistor is alone already 1 / 4W frittered to 1W LED).
At The End:
Product evaluation are not rewarding hobby (even blog posts to illustrate not).
The only motivation is, the positive reviews (or constructive reviews) at the end of the month.
