As for the noise, I can tell because the older cameras can not match. But that is always at the expense of the resolution of fine structures in the image. This dead one dies halt today.
I loved my 8 megapixels CASIO EX-Z850. In daylight or with tripod - but as soon as the light was not so much the photos were just not getting poorly and freehand sharp.
This is no longer a problem with the HX10. With eg Hand-held Twilight almost always succeed in a usable image.
Here is my practical experience to HX10 (+ = good to very good / o = average / - = poor / - = miserably) to own opinion:
+ Valent housing
+ Usable battery life
+ Very good video quality
o speed when focusing
o good image quality in daylight (detail drawing even at ISO 100 only to a limited extent, since it has the
Noise Filter vigorously engaged)
- Fringing on edges in backlight (eg branches on cloudy days)
- Inferior rotary multi selector on the rear panel (one has the feeling - already in the new state - holds the
not and what is particularly annoying long, turning one often gets the push function and the desired
Setting is to go) what Sony has just been thinking. This feature indicates nearly all models in much
better quality. At the NEX - which I also own - is the rotary pushbutton controller perfectly. And also at the WX100 -
although smaller and cheaper it works well here.
- Lasting waiting for the image processing. This moves the camera (such as HDR the many features,
Background blur, partial color in monochrome, etc.) a test of nerves!
When time is of essence, really only helps the P mode.
In the automatic functions, the camera takes sometimes even under optimal light conditions several shots that
then need to be offset. And at this time the cam assumes no input!
If you record during movie recording photos - what's possible - so you have to end the
Wait Video recording until the camera from the point of the video to which you have pressed the camera releases, then
the statue deducts. It takes an eternity.
The quality of these pictures can be described as useful. Not more.
My Conclusion:
Beautiful camera, if it does not have to be quick. The very good performance focus is destroyed by the wait for the storage.
Like maybe from my review of the Casio EX-ZR1000 is clear I wanted a consumer that unite Casio and Sony. The rapidity of the Casio with the video quality of Sony.
This would be the perfect small.
But unfortunately .....
I hope - to have made a support - for those interested in this camera.
