Vance Joy is a typical Australian and songwriter. Light guitar sounds, which are full of life and convey the apparent lightness of being determine the songs from his new EP "Riptide". One gets after only the first few bars of the title track and the song just in a good mood is immediately in the ear firmly, without even making the smallest institution wanting to get out of this again. In addition to the title track there then heard four more songs on the EP. "Emmylou" is a beautiful ballad love song, "Play With Fire" is easy but slowly and "Snaggletooth" has an air of invigorating Lounge. "From Afar" is balanced and supporting in some way. Finally, there is still the "Riptide (FlicFlac Edit)", a little more electronic and danceable clear version of the title. "Riptide" is a nice EP that presents many sounds that you somehow already knows all. And if you like James Blunt, is also like Vance Joy, because the young artists just seems that James Blunt but imitate something obvious. But he does it well, and you have the wheel also not necessarily reinvent.
