Speaking of writing: I have bought SwiftKey. The word suggestions are very good, because in context. Unfortunately, requests Internet access to load dictionaries, the program.
All in all, the phone runs smoothly. I had in the three weeks, however, 3 crashes requiring a reboot. But that may be due to software installed and I do not blame the phone.
The camera is light (install Tiny Flashlight + LED of Ananiev) as a flashlight just great good and is something I reluctantly have repaid.
The memory I found for my needs adequately dimensioned and has not made critical noticeable.
But now to the complaint: Android phones offer a so-called USB debugging. This is really only useful for developers, but also very often used for synchronization. The fact is, who has access to this interface, everything can make on your phone, read as all data or delete or install any software. The warning message when turning is also to clearly and the recommendations of c't, it must be switched off. That is how I see it too, because I do not always want to take care of my smartphone as a hawk and not even want to lose the data in case of loss of the device. The fact that the adjustment is classified as safety related in the SDK, so that the problem can not be solved by a self-written program, also shows the importance.
However, the Galaxy Ace opens this interface with any plug in a USB cable. Several discussions with the partially incompetent Samsung support brought the result that Samsung wants to keep this feature and there are no plans to change this.
[Update] According to a commentary is this behavior with the Android version 2.3 is no longer available. So the problem is rectified with an update.
So the mobile phone then reluctantly went back to Amazon and I have taken some extra money for the Galaxy S in hand. This is a safety point top and otherwise somewhat better.
In addition a few tips for people who are looking for an Android:
- It is very convenient when the screen brightness automatically adjusts depending on the ambient brightness (I missed the Ace). It's just stupid if you out first the brightness changing needs, especially as only bad thing recognizes on the display when the brightness is set low.
- OLED or LCD: in my opinion does not really matter. Those who prefer to have black font on a light background, drives current technical with LCD better. Who against a black background with white letters may well live in OLEDs, the more energy-efficient technology, as have very little point lights.
