In autumn 2000 the album "The Last Of A Dying Breed" of H-Town legend Scarface came into the stores. Expectations were of course big and you wondered if Scarface had created another classic. Most of the songs produced here even Scarface. He received support from Erick Sermon, Mike Dean, NO Joe & Mr. Lee. Guests here UGK, Jayo Felony, Daz, Kurupt, Jay-Z, Devin The Dude, Too Short and Redman are represented. So good conditions for another Banger Album. A first small masterpiece supplies and the gentleman from Houston with the title track, which comes immediately after the short intro. The melody sounds by now and einsetztene, whistling sounds, something mystical to, in between you'll hear a baby's cry. Fiery and aggressive, it goes on with the fast "Look Me In The Eyes". Scarface gets everything out of himself and raps with his impressive voice everything into the ground. A feel-good track is "They Down With Us". The tune just makes a lot of fun and the instruments to come across somehow funny. For this purpose it is the great part of Pimp C and Bun B. Something kept coming in the chilly West Coast style, is "OG To Me", however, which is not surprising in the features (Jayo Felony, Daz and Kurupt). About the Beat a relaxed raps after another, beautiful loose his part down. And so is tantamount to a beautiful West Coast feeling. Therefore also something enstpannter comes the melody of "The Gangsta Shit". Although Scarface raps here more aggressive, there is a number to relax. After the rather average "Conspiracy Theory" shows us Mr. Scarface on "Watch Ya Step" again what it can do. In addition to the harder Hook nor Scarface itself can inspire again. Again something more to West Coast sounds the beat of "Get Out". That would not necessarily expect, because East Coast rapper Jay-Z is Registered. Jay-Z's voice is still a lot younger. The two work well together and provide us with a cool track. Incredibly chillig is "In & Out". Scarface and Too Short supply us here Rapp Arts, Devin The Dude takes over the vocals and this invites a again to dream, because Devin The Dude voice is just reassuring, even if he is anything but an outstanding singer. Something crazy is "And Yo", which is partly due to Redman. The beat is playful, sometimes you get to hear funny voices. The last track is called "In My Time" and is somehow over quite scary, which is due to the melody. The chorus is sung. A very nice ending for "The Last Of A Dying Breed". Unfortunately, this album has not become another classic, special "only" a good album. What is missing above all is a real banger. Clear here are some very good tracks on it, but no one can listen to for hours, without which he is langweillig. Nevertheless, a good work of legend.
