Background:
Holder is required for a Garmin GPSmap62 and does it very well!
Material:
Worked Wertig, firm grip everywhere: The handlebar part on the handlebar, the Navigation Holder on the handlebars part and the Navi in the holder!
Problem 1:
Contrary to my general experience of Navigation Holder can really be pushed in one direction on the handlebars part! If you look closely, will recognize that the lugs on the handlebars part and the corresponding locking holes are not mounted on the Navigation Holder in the horizontal axis center. If both parts correctly assembled and put together with a little force, it makes "click" and the parts are really firmly connected!
Problem 2:
Can occur, but need not; depends on whether the mated two parts Navigation Holder will generally incorrectly assembled on the manufacturer or from case to case, since the two parts can be assembled either way in the production. Based on the previous feedback here and the wrong way round product image displayed (the Entrieglungsnase for GPSmap62 degree are down!) I go from a general error from the manufacturer. But do not worry, can - with a little courage - easily solve itself!
Here the error description to problem 2:
Does the Navigation Holder (right with the Entriegelungsnase down around) are placed on the handlebar bracket from bottom to top, there is the problem!
Yes certainly, after the "click" hold both parts together well. But I would have to withdraw from the Navigation Holder handlebar holder when I pushed him in the assembly from the bottom up?!? Sure, I have to press the Navigation Holder downward, towards the ground!
This is in spite of the "clicks" the risk that solve both parts of their own accord, especially if the heavy GPSmap62 hangs and the track is bumpy and / or after long use. And when solving navigation and steering wheel holder in this case, the navigation system automatically drops down!
The problem here lies in the Navigation Holder. This can not be only one way of Navihalters to the handlebar holder on the latter clipping (see Problem 1). Even if both parts are properly aligned, they can be clipped in only one direction. And that is from bottom to top, which is not optimum despite the fixed connection!
Problem 2 arises because factory rotates the rear of the Navihalters by 180 ° has been connected to the front !!!
Solution:
I've seen that are themselves clipped only at four points the two parts of Navihalters. So I boldly introduced the thin blade of a stable pocket knife at the corners between the two parts and leveraged carefully. I was lucky and all four locking lugs dissolved without damage. Then both portions offset by 180 ° compressed again.
And lo and behold, now I clipse the Navigation Holder of top down and the whole thing can not now resolve by itself down ;-)
If the steering wheel holder was mounted, but was present problem 2, the steering wheel holder must be rotated newly mounted 180 °!
