Once properly installed, this film prevents the cold accumulated on the windows that cool parts of my house, in this case room and kitchen. It works well, you feel the difference with or without. After there is no miracle, in a poorly heated house for X reasons, it will not work maybe not as well, but it can help a little caulking.
