Super price / performance ratio
Sharpness at maximum aperture not outstanding but slightly dimmed good.
Autofocus a bit noisy but good and not slow.
Bokeh is ok, but is more beautiful.
Property me the lens risen not just for portraits or because of 1,8er open aperture but primarily as a "macro retro paper" for my 105mm macro 2,8er, see photo. (By the way: For portraits I use in my opinion except for the AF perfect Tamron 60mm 2.0)
The function as a retro intent fulfills the Nikon AF 50mm 1.8 spitzenmäßig. The aperture can be manually adjusted to open aperture. Mounting with coupling ring and focusing work fine.
The lens is compact and light because almost entirely of plastic, which does not mean that the processing is bad. Many may disrupt the many plastic. For my use it is ideal.
By reverse position on 105s is given by the ratio of the focal lengths a maximum magnification ratio of> 2: 1 and with a good (visual) quality and at an affordable price. The focus range is extremely small. It is therefore advisable to use a macro sled.
Conclusion: My expectations of the lens have been fully met. Therefore, clearly 5 star. For "normal" use or as a portrait lens I would give it 4 to 4.5 star. Light deductions were doing it because of something ugly bokeh and lack of Geli. Price / performance is beyond reproach.
