My cable company is Kabelkiosk - this device is particularly suitable.
Disillusionment I had in trying to provide my receiver with all necessary cables. The SCART connector is placed so stupid that my beautiful fiber optic cable no longer fits into the socket, since the scart cable just covered this. Engineering made in Germany? Probably a CAD inventor who has never had a plug in his hand ...
No matter - what there is the coaxial connection. So sought an RCA cable and finally turned on the receiver. But image? None. What was the reason?
Well - I have the Technisat connected in my youthful folly using a SCART adapter with my A / V receiver. Just seems to be here issued no standardized S-VHS signal. The picture was black.
Well - so directly via SCART to the TV. What the hell - then stop any Yamaha GUI for digital image.
Started tuning and waited. TechniSat is pretty fast and has everything found. The picture quality via SCART is also very fine on my LOEWE LCD. But then the disillusionment: A change channels causes a nice "click" from each another of my 5 speakers. Oh great - what's that again.
Anyway, I have read after some fumble on the network that this problem probably occurs in conjunction with Yamaha receivers - in conjunction with the digital audio connection is understood.
That was too much of a good thing. The Technisat declined.
Conclusion:
Analog certainly to Mains a great receiver. Very good picture, good reception and fast switching times. SiehFernInfo is also a nice EPG extension.
But:
- Digitally connected to a Yamaha receiver pops out of the speakers with channel switching (Yammi: RX-V 3900)
- Toslink not be used in conjunction with two SCART connections
- S-VHS via SCART is no picture on Yamaha receivers from
Who does not need Toslink and no Yamaha AV hashome are - can pick up the calm Technisat.
Who collaborates with Yamaha can better stay away from this unit! Therefore, only one star from me.
