The TV-killer! But watch out for AV receivers

Since already more than 200 people have left their (justified) positive assessment, only briefly in bullet point form the most important information:
- Picture: very good, but can already partly be too bright! who has a dark home theater, possibly more should pick up the BenQ W1070 because: Bright is not always better! Built here brightness at the expense of the black level and overall image quality
- At 100 inches, it can be very good movies, BluRay anyway, but also high-definition TV signal (in 720p or 1080i) provides pin sharp. normal television in SD, however, is borderline, but at sufficiently seat pitch (so about from 4 to 5 m) also.
=> So you can really ask what you could ever have to make a television in the living room, where you can pay any customs expensive if you can make it easy to jump to 100 or even 120 inches with as a Beamer!
- Ventilation volume:
a) In the Smart Eco mode (the most economical, but not the quietest mode): you get used to it! but already clearly perceptible. One should keep in mind that the projector when installed on the ceiling automatically adjusts the ventilation more because under the ceiling the room heat collects => Installation coffee table !?
b) in economy mode (the quietest, but not the most economical mode): only a very slight noise, barely perceptible
- So now the really big but ....: The huge debate on the HDMI handshake problems !!! In short: The Benq stands with many AV receivers at war! When converting an AV receiver (no matter which brand and what year) are the Benq Picture may not out! This is known in Benq and is first secretive! What to BenQ of such a head-in-the-sand strategy promises probably their secret remains ...
Two solutions:
1. Switch HDMI splitter in front of the projector, for example. The "Mondpalast HDMI splitter 2x 1x2" for about 18 euros, can be found here at amazon or
To BenQ 2. Returning, takes about 10 calendar days, for free, for the purpose of firmware update.
I have the beamer sent and received without any problem again with the firmware version 1.04.
Conclusion: very good beamer abzg with knotless value for money. the AV receiver problems makes 4 stars!
