I have this Philips gained headphones because my old Sennheiser MX 170 would crackle from the same price range now and then on the left ear and I like to try a different brand.

The bass-heavy song 'Dark Horse' by Katy Perry I thought the same time I would have the headphones plugged in is not correct, because the bass so not arrived in my ear. Unfortunately, they were plugged in and when I have doubted my ears, I put the old headphones and voila again, with Sennheiser I heard the bass again. Even my even older Sony MDR-E10 have brought over the bass. Why is the packaging size "extra bass" on it, then when exactly the opposite is the case?

Even otherwise the sound is tinny, thin and - comparatively to the other two headsets - quietly.

I've never had such a bad headphones and am really disappointed by Philips!
