In some reviews, and the Lenovo forum was problems of this model (G700) with upgrading to Windows 8.1 reports (black screen). These difficulties appear to have been fixed by a patch. I have just now (28/12/2014) without any problems updated to 8.1.

Incidentally, I am very satisfied with the laptop, it is very quiet and goes up quickly. For games it is well suited, for example, Starcraft 2 runs completely liquid in high resolution. The only shortcoming is the rather unfortunate placed on the sides of power and audio outputs.
