Help! the sky fell on my head!
Historically, Asterix was a marvel of humor, tenderness. Although the earliest adventures have a graphics a bit hard, even if the scenarios of the last are slightly less caustic, must we forget pure masterpieces?
The Domain of the Gods is a scathing critique of collective housing and urban planning and pedantic scholar, as in Brasilia. Obelix and Co. was a real economics textbook, the Asterix a hilarious parody of James Bond. We can not see a peplum, even very well, without laughing, thinking of Asterix and Cleopatra. And the Belgians, the Corsicans, the Helvetians national identities ... so many views so well, funny without being nasty.

Here, we are entitled to absolute nullity! Whole passages plagiarized from previous adventures (which changes the tune echoes the Battle of the Chefs ...), the split end is dismal, whole passages are plated on the plot (Romans, pirates, and even the bard finally). Where are the delicious anachronisms? The harsh criticism of our consumer society? The ecological fable and the defense of the forest?

I bought the album, I lost my money. But in good reader of the adventures of Asterix, I retain the lesson of Obelix and Co., I'm not trying to sell because there is more potential buyer for this "thing". And above all, I want to go back furiously reading the other, the "old Asterix". Finally, Mr Uderzo managed to show us that he was right before: it was not so bad before, at the time of our ancestors the Gauls, in the old albums. For now ...
