The ear cushions offered for the Sennheiser HD 228 headphones are obviously not from Sennheiser. There seem to be no original spare parts from the manufacturer Sennheiser. You can be compatible. On the website of Sennheiser, in their online store, you get the original parts from Sennheiser. Considering the postage they are there yet 3, - Euro cheaper.
