Meanwhile, I can almost exclusively absolutely positive tests and numerous test victories of S110 - now confirmed by subjective well - after extensive practice. . 2 At the same time I have to those repeatedly intone here the same old song: "My old man is sooo viiieel better"; objectively give a clear rebuff namely by objective and subjective criteria (eg s95 IXUS 30.!): So not only based on the data and facts that everyone can read in the portals, because with me so some test winners in recent years have accumulated, which were much more expensive and in some cases considerably greater. And that brings us to my personal main criterion for the acquisition of this model: . 3 The S110 is really + + pocket fit and vs. no apparent restriction on the image quality of the competition on "Edel-compact" and "Creative cameras" 2013/14! . 4 Only the falling light intensity at the telephoto end (from 1: 2.0 to 5.9) (at least five times) vs. "limited" and the zoom range. Travel and superzoom cameras are natural concessions to the small form factor (but of course with the advantage of better image quality) ... . 5 The equipment can inspire clippers as serious photographers alike: Who is to "AUTO", the S110 has actually only in the right direction to keep, even HDR turns then possibly automatically - only thing missing is the motive bell - otherwise is really not saved with gimmicks from the smart phone era: touchscreen focusing and triggering by tapping, WiFi, GPS connectivity, face detection (everything switched off!), etc. But camera connoisseurs get their money, because they can control the S110 fully manual and will love the opportunity to focus set on the lens ring quite analogous, as in the old and very expensive cameras - as the workflow thanks to the RAW format option etc ... The film function in Full-HD really works perfectly - albeit "only" with 30 fps. The quality metal casing and the mE highly recommended old school "ready case" with belt round feel a camera "real" here to have from: You have your hands free for activities (such as driving, flying, climbing) and the S110 by neck / shoulder is still handle in one second and ready to fire ... . 6 But to an astonishing weakness of S110 - NO POWER - The battery life is unusually short, as is the "PowerShot" s110 unfortunately quickly NO PowerShot! To what extent this is justified by a deduction of points or even speaks against a purchase, everyone likes to decide for themselves - or possibly order an immediate replacement battery (better two) with, which is of course to have the net for a few euros, as a charging cradle is the camera Fortunately, at so that it can be loaded and photographed simultaneously. This additional purchase I think is justifiable considering the price - early 2014 - less than 200. while it is still available! Certainly not least the S110 was indeed now from tip to popular digital camera in Chip.de portal and the "Most Popular N ° 1" here in Amazon, but also because the successor S120 does not seem to be better (!) ...
