After the rats bad "Pilgrim" I had pretty screwed my expectations down. Rarely a bad Prduzenteneinfluß (Simon Climie) was as clear as on Reptile's predecessor. I was afraid the worst when I saw that again this pop softener produced the new album Clapton. Thankfully appears again the old Clapton to have prevailed. Because "Reptile" is full of good songs, and Clapton's guitar art is to be enjoyed to the fullest again and is not covered by synth Gewaber. JJ Cale "Travelin 'Light" for example, is a real highlight and can be called in the same breath as "Cocaine". Even the new songs live come across well. I was lucky enough to convince me on Friday at his concert in the Frankfurt Festhalle it. Eric, keep it up !!
