this is one of the most useless books i have ever read about Buddhism. Jack Kornfield Mainly tells us stories about his meetings with other Buddhist teachers, the Dalai Lama about his retreat in the United States, how broken people come to him, How They meditate for a couple of months, have regular talks with him for a quarter of an hour and then suddenly everything is groovy for them. honestly, i am happy did things work fine at his retreat, how he helps people and stuff, but this book has little Practically value unless you go to his retreat. He frequently quotes Shunryu Suzuki and I strongly recommend one of Suzuki's books. much more insight, much more practical value, much deeper learning.
