The device itself is small, light and unobtrusive in appearance. The charging function is catastrophic, because you have to fumble out the cotter pins whenever you wear the part on hand controlled and the charging connector is concealed by the fastening of the belt completely. By disconnections and the Clock function is disabled because the device yes synct by mobile phone. Therefore, completely useless as a clock when not connected.
Despite some improvements and now supposedly better synchronization through firmware updates on the device itself and the respective smart phones, I can LiveView classify as not available in person. With Android 4.1 (ICS) could come about no stable connection. A firmware update of the Live View even brought no remedy. The largest - still existing - problem is the constant disconnection. Some phones disable the Bluetooth connection to a device after a certain time (time-out), in which no data transfer has occurred. I have not had similar crashes in this period with other Bluetooth devices. Corresponding Apps to maintain the Bluetooth connection could not remedy the LiveView. Even a change in the registry files (root) could not prevent disconnections with Bluetooth. But there is a little trick that allows the connection, at least does not have to be re-activated always in the phone. The link brings nevertheless from repeatedly, but can now be produced with the upper right button of the Live View again without the phone needs to be turned on again. So here's a quick guide that might help those who only have to contend with and thus can make the LiveView stable:
The principle of LiveView Verbinung is relatively simple. You install the official app from Google Play. As a rule, pairt the devices first before you open the app. Only by opening the app also comes really into being a working connection, there must be yes synced. If you have the two devices via Bluetooth connected and the app open on your phone, then the connection is established. But these tears (at least for me) after about 15 minutes again. The only remedy is turning on the phone and manually re-enable the LiveView app phone itself (since this is responsible for the sync). Through the connection loss of the Bluetooth connection in the LiveView app is capped namely. Since the devices but with unique erfolgtem Paring always can be paired by pressing a button with open LiveView app and button Press the right button of the Live View, you have to enter an appropriate command again to get the sync connection. The solution lies in the fact that the app is always open when Bluetooth is turned on and a first-time (manual Paring took place). Unfortunately provides a ungerootetes phone no adjustment options. For root uses there are, however, a remedy. By example. The app "Automelt / Automeit" (often spelled differently), you can define rules. The rule is:
-> When paired with LiveView (only connection through BT), then automatically open the LiveView app (thus making the Sync connection)
It is therefore as follows:
1. There must always first be activated and paired Bluetooth
2. When the rule is defined, the app automatically opens and establishes the final compound
3. After a gewissern time the device loses the connection, the Paring was lifted, but Bluetooth is still
4. As was previously once paired successfully, you no longer need the mobile set (code or similar) - the devices can be found again
5. You can pair again NOW by pressing a button on the upper right button on the Live View
6. Once the paring has taken place and the Bluetooth connection is, the rule is triggered and opens the LiveView app mobile, who had lost in the canceled Pairing the sync connection -> with the (re) calling app the sync connection restored without the phone must be switched on
However, this process is annoying with time, because you constantly have to re-connect and therefore also has no stable connection. However, it saves significantly on battery because you do not constantly have to connect the phone again and the LiveView app will now open automatically. So the rule is only: in Paring -> Open App
I had installed plugins, which was rather complicated. Whatsapp I did not up and running. Google Mail has worked. It was for me, at least because of the constant disconnections not worthy to continue using the device or to concern myself with it. For the price of the device is no bad buy, but not recommended. Maybe one or the other helps so my contribution.
