The display, which I received was not of equal value as the factory-fitted screen. You have to look closely to detect prior to installation whether the spare part is original or not. Is helpful when a flashlight from behind by the small "window" to shine for the LED and look at the course from the beginning - in my case looked very strange out, with quite strong visible "pixels", the original of the transition, although also visible, but much softer. Without comparison to the original one would perhaps not notice anything because I became a Nexus 4 use and a second had to repair here, I can well compare.
But besides this ugly LED I had another problem: the proximity sensor was not working properly after assembly. But here I would like to not go too far out on a limb - I'm just an amateur mechanics and can mistake on my part not rule out 100%, but I already read other reviews about the Nexus 4, where after the exchange was the same problem. There were no complications during the installation, that's all absolutely doable.
I have now written directly to LG to learn how to recognize original and whether the parts directly from the manufacturer is available for purchase - I am now in the third display sold (not Amazon), and this was as original LG spare part - but it is not (the same problem with the LED). If I were to get a helpful answer, I'll update the review accordingly.
I would be grateful for a tip about a reputable dealer who actually offers the original LG spare part - slowly I did it honestly tired. I feel like looking for a needle in a haystack, though I would indeed only get what is offered to me: the original part.
Addendum: I've added a picture where you can see the difference of the LED processing uniquely.
In addition, I have received response from LG, unfortunately nothing useful here, rather a standard answer that I should like to address the official service partner for repair (which I do not want to).
