For me this is not a winter blanket. I sleep well in winter with tilted windows (except for strong sub-zero temperatures) and then get cold with this ceiling to 100%, because I have even this week (April 2015) and frozen so had to put a fleece blanket over it at night. In winter, so useless for me! There is therefore in my opinion a maximum transitional ceiling. It is also unclear whether the feathers were plucked alive. In addition, I do not the ceiling "too loud". You crackles, probably due to the upper material, loud and annoying, especially because I'm not used to my old blanket that. For my taste, the Pinzon ceiling fluffed also not enough. I like it nice and comfortable in winter and my other ceiling is much higher than this. Well, however, is that the stitching is designed so that the springs are well distributed and not too much slip. The blanket can wash it, the first test went well and the springs are not glued. For me, the linen was absolutely necessary, because for days ventilate the ceiling the chemical smell could not drive. The blanket comes in a practical plastic bag in which you can stow away when not in use.
