1. Specifications and what they are worth (compared)
Looking at the data sheet of the action may be pleased you once. The camera can shoot up to 16 megapixel. That's neat, even when compared to competing products. The laymen's terms, however, that this figure says little about the actual picture quality at the end. 16 megapixels means nothing else than that the camera can record 16 million small dots to produce the photo of it. This leads to a very high resolution, but also to a high error rate. In other words, that image can in principle be sharper, but often enough to so-called image noise (does not look nice out) lead. Here, however, Fujifilm has built not only a good sensor, but also a very sensible Rauchunterdruckungssoftware processed, so it actually works out usually under Normalbedingunen (light, not in direct sunlight) to create good photographs with the highest resolution. In different conditions (let's say a concert, dark, here and there light sources) is the whole more difficult. That simply is due to the fact that the camera has a relatively small chip (in comparison) and correspondingly earlier come to their limits, as the competition. The whole can, however, regulate the men's rules of image size (with simultaneous loss of resolution) good. For the average Joe family photo graphs that should go all right here, so the expectations on the whole are satisfied.
The lens is precisely at this price, also very neat. The zoom range is from 24mm to 720mm (in other words 30 times) and can be operated manually fortunately. The lens also makes on otherwise good job, so I can take pictures even more distant goals at larger zoom well. Again: In broad daylight everything is very good, with more complex conditions (again said concert) is it a bit more difficult. The use of a tripod allows the way to fully utilize the zoom and still produce a very good picture. All in all, the camera is here slightly above expectations.
The photosensitivity (irritating as simply as ISO) ranges from 100 to 12800. Sounds impressive, is likely to be of little interest for the amateur photographers but. For amateur photographers starry sky, it is more interesting, especially since you can manually adjust the shutter speed also. So far as the expectations are met.
The camera can also record "FullHD videos" because I do not use that, I can say little.
What else? Oh 2x digital zoom (60x zoom on who needs actually a Bridgecam?). Now I am amazed that it works so well. Usually, I think digital zoom for unnecessary Kokolores, here it is "only" 2-fold, thus resulting in fact even with high-art zoom level to an acceptable result. But the whole thing is probably not care for most users.
2. Equipment
The features of the Fujifilm FinePix is laudable. A useful battery including charger is included as well, a one shoulder strap and a lens hood.
Apart from the periphery is the camera itself, well equipped for a bridge. An acceptable built-in flash is included, also the camera has a swiveling display. The whole is not a feast for the eyes (I think it's disproportionate focus) and, to behold, a viewfinder. Viewfinder makes it only indirectly, in principle, I look here in a window where I look back on a display. For the camera Feeling nice but to use otherwise only in strong back light. And then a little worse than the actual LCD display. But nice that he is. The program is usually extensive and includes all the settings that will use the typical Bridgecamkäufer. Eben exposure, light sensitivity, size and things like that. Who does not like, can safely put on automatic, that results speak for themselves. There are also a whole range of software functions, such as certain modifications for close images, food (why?), Night, etc. All in all very tidy. The obgligatorische Selbstauslöder is naturally included as well as the famous white flower for the next photo.
Connections for all kinds of plugs, HDMI included, are also available, the typical photo cable is supplied.
3. Processing
Fujifilm was so in the old days, the bad days, the days fotographier or leave one of the best manufacturer, until some time no reasonable cameras got more of the brand. At least, this camera gives a little bit on it. She is very good processing, be it the buttons which I trust a certain longevity or even the Gummischutzdingsdateile that obscure the connections. Fortunately, two out of three (for the battery and the SD card). Not made of rubber, but plastic Only the trigger itself acts a little shaky, it may last. Nevertheless, I am fully satisfied with this point.
4. Earnings or: How are now actually the photos
As I said: Under normal conditions, the camera delivers a very good result. The holiday family photo, the Christmas tree, the city trip, but it's super useful. Who runs motif photograph if only Semiprofesionell will not be very happy with the camera, but for the average user it delivers what it promises.
The Casus Knacktus but is precisely what makes the camera, if the conditions are not good. And because it remains too often lag behind its competitors. A picture with the highest resolution in the dark is very difficult. I have too much adjusting to much reduce to meet my needs. This is a shame and spoils the result that the camera otherwise achieved. Let it here but please do not give the impression that the Fujifilm FinePix only manure fabricated. Indeed, the images are only not perfect or even very good, but just something between "fine" and "good". For the price range that's my opinion, so OK (which brings us back in the opening question, Bridgecam or SLR).
So now what the result? 4 stars because they in many ways provides a good result. One star deduction because of all the cases where this is not so. And only one star deduction, because that's perfectly fine in Hinlick on the price. Recommended for those who have chosen a Bridgecam in exactly this price segment.
