Pro:
The controller is properly processed, no sharp edges, everything seems stable.
The action keys have a good tactile feedback are provided colored and lettered like the XBOX 360 controller. Analog sticks, the digital directional pad and the other 5 keys on the top of the controller are consistently good. Force feedback is also on board.
The nano receiver is tiny and is detected by means of this from Windows immediately as XBOX 360 controller. The transfer of control commands is largely properly.
It is also possible to play with the F710 even old games by the switch on the back of the controller to D provides you (Direct Input). However, you have to pay to install the Logitech driver. But XInput supports. This allows most newer games gamble without problems.
Cons:
Unfortunately, the F710 has not only advantages. There are, for example, no proper charging indicator.
There is only a small LED that glows green when the controller is connected to the receiver. But you never know how much voltage have inserted batteries yet.
Another problem is that the controller is recognized immediately in Windows, but sometimes not really the Game. Then you have to quit the game, take a battery of the controller and Reinsert. But after that the controller is functioning properly.
But the most important thing on a controller is ergonomics. Unfortunately this is the F710 not quite perfect (at least for my hands). The controller feels clunky and although it lies stable in your hand, it is not possible for me to gamble so long gaming sessions.
After some time, I have to put down the controller, because my hands verkrampfen.Auch the shoulder buttons are not perfect. So the digital shoulder buttons are indeed well-made,
but have a solid tactile feedback and audible click when gamble.
Unfortunately, the analog shoulder buttons are worse. These have a too short stroke and it requires but a relatively large force to the keys quite push through.
That leads to cramps in the fingers and annoying during longer gaming sessions.
Another point of criticism I would like to mention, is the packaging. I was alone 15 minutes busy to remove the controller from the half-shell without damaging it.
In summary, I can say that the controller is not bad in principle.
Who likes to play older games on the PC, for the Logitech F710 could be something. However, if you want to play only new games, for probably the Xbox 360 controller is the better choice. This is ergonomic, making it suitable for longer gaming sessions.
