I have multiple smartphones tested the device in combination with the Onkyo TX-NR818. The following result:

- Connection does not always work, sometimes it is produced, yet no sound
- Link sometimes breaks (rarely) from
- Sound quality leaves much to be desired (different devices and music apps tasted), here is a direct connection with an inexpensive analog 3.5mm cable much better

In the price category can be something (especially the problem of quality) actually unacceptable.

Maybe it is the receiver, but since this device should be compatible: 2/5 stars (2 stars because it does what it should only not of the desired quality / reliability)!
