Not as convincing as "The Emancipation of Mimi"

3 years from the "most successful album of the year" was published in 2008, "E = MC²". Although the album is fantastic again and Mimi has again delivered a great job, I was, "E = MC² not as convinced as" The Emancipation of Mimi ".

"Migrate" is a great club song, no question, but after a few times listening to the song I went on my nerves and also Rap parts of T-Pain have not convinced me. Live gave me "Migrate" also liked better than on the album.

"Touch My Body" was the first single from "E = MC²" and MC thus reached their 18th (!) Number 1 in the US Billboard charts. The song just makes good mood, it's sweet, it's funny and it's fun to listen to the song.

"Cruise Control" is a Reagge number that Mariah has worked with Damian Marley, the youngest son of Bob Marley, included. A great idea to record a song with Reagge influences, especially since Mariah's voice perfectly fits this style. In addition, I was "Cruise Control" a bit on the "Reggae Soul Mix" of "Always Be My Baby" recalls. So it's not a new idea by Mariah incorporate Reagge in their music, but definitely a great.

"I Stay In Love" is a "typical" Mariah ballad. Beautifully sung and great lyrics. "I Stay In Love" was the 4th single from "E = MC²", but was not published in Germany. Directed for video by the way resulted in Mariah's husband Nick Cannon.

"Side Effects" is a very "dark" song in which Mariah settles with her ex-husband Tommy Mottola and sings about her difficult marriage or writes. I like this autobiographical songs of MC love, although these are often sad. Young Jeezey "disturbs" the song is not, but I could have to do without his part. Mariah sings "Side Effects" very impressive; places reminds me of the song "Long Ago" (Daydream) or "Did I Do That?" (Rainbow).

"I'm That Chick" was one of the first song that I have heard of "E = MC²" and immediately caught my eye. Just as with "Touch My Body" can micht not help but to smile and get a good mood when you listen to the song. Mariah's voice is just amazing and the humor of "I`m That Chick" is just great. Definitely a check out tip on the album.

"Love Story" is again a treat for all the fans who like to like Mariah's ballads. The song goes more in the direction of "We Belong Together" (although not quite as powerful and authentic) and invites you to dream. The ballad is not overproduced and Mariah sings clear and clean. A very emotional song.

"I`ll Be Lovin` U Long Time" is one of my favorite songs of Mariah at all and my favorite song on "E = MC²". I like the jazz influences in this song and it just a song, in which you can let your soul and no matter how bad you just feels, one makes you smile again. Stimmtlich shows MC here grandiose achievements.

"Last Kiss" is even a beautiful song, but stands out in my opinion, not very different from "Love Story" or "I Stay In Love" from. I think that the song a little goes and lyrically "Last Kiss" is not exactly a masterpiece of Mariah. As I said, not a bad song, but the "WOW!" - Effect is eliminated.

With "Thanx '4 Nothin'" Mariah a great song succeeded again. I love the sarcastic text and how Mariah sings this song. Mariah's voice is again incredibly powerful and it "breaks" not for one minute a. MC sings "Thanx '4 Nothin'" grandiose and the melody harmonises perfectly with Mariah.

"OOC" left me with another "WOW!" (After IBLULT) - triggered effect. Already the intro looks electrifying and leaves a seesaw with the feet. A song with catchy guarantee!

"For The Record" I find particularly great because Mariah makes references in the text to their old songs here. "For the Record / You'll Always Be A Part of me / No matter what you do [Alweays Be My Baby] / And for the record / Can not nobody say / I did not give my all to you [My All ] - And for the record / I told you underneath the stars [Underneath The Stars] / That you belong to me [We Belong Together] / For the Record
It's obvious fact / We just can not let go of us, honey [Can`t Let Go and Honey]. But of course I also like the catchy melody and Mariah's voice that is exactly the right place in the middle. She exaggerates not, but it also shows what they can. Not only for fans out tip.

"Bye Bye" touched me immediately. Every time I listen to this song, I get goose bumps. The song can best be compared with "One Sweet Day" (Daydream). Just like here, is "Bye Bye" of how we feel when we lose loved ones, but we see each other again one day and should not mourn but be grateful for the time we could spend with our loved ones. I did not understand that "Bye Bye" no number 1 in the US, was there for me to hear the song Mariah's best performances. Instead, the song with a meager 19th place had to settle. In Germany it was enough even for only 70 place.

"I Wish You Well" is a treat for all those who are fans of "Vanishing" and / or "Fly Like A Bird" are. In this wonderful song, we hear that is "only" Mariah with piano and some with her backing vocalists. "I Wish You Well" is a very spiritual song, which is also about Mariah's love / gratitude to God. Beautifully well as Mariah here repeatedly cited passages from the Bible and a successful conclusion for "E = MC²" that while not as convincing as "TEOM" is, however, an album that you simply must have.
