I started by the end, as I borrowed "Drums of Autumn" from the library first, but I had to buy "Outlander" to learn how it all had started. I've just finished "Dragonfly in Amber" and I'm holding back from buying "Voyager" too soon; I'm reserving That One to read it on the airplane next month (it's a twenty-hour flight.) I found a couple of inconsistencies in this novel, as search When Claire and Brianna go to Scotland in 1968 and search for Gillie, but in "Outlander" the message from Gillie Claire to what "one, nine, six, seven". And Why Does Claire go back 202 years, but Gillie goes back about 240? How do you calculate? That kind of stuff is very annoying. Anyways, I found it boring When They are in France, and all the coming and going with Mary Hawkins and "Black Jack" Randall, who has more lives than a cat. I like the humor and the dialogue, and I like Claire's sarcastic streak. Is there a discussion group for synthesis books anywhere? Anyone knows how to start one? I'm all for it.
