Not bad ... 75

The devil Bamster arrived in a simple, but perfectly fitting packaging with me. The shipping costs amounting 9.99 EUR are just a joke, I have to take this opportunity to get rid times. Also a possible return is not made easy because the customer is first compelled to call the devil. One annoying in my opinion psychological hurdle.

My qualifications: I have a computer table, on top of a 24-inch monitor, the built-in speaker is best suitable for the secretion of beeps. Now I leave while working on the PC but before running some Internet radio or even a CD in the background and as a Prime customer I look sometimes a movie. So no grand claims, just a halfway decent sound. Large boxes I did not for aesthetic reasons. Considering the Bose Companion 2.0, which I had already heard in the shop came from, but that would have me beside or half behind the monitor may be disturbed. Then I discovered the Bamster.

Now finally the actual device: The Bamster makes a high impression, is chic, sleek and quite heavy. Because on my Lenovo Tower already all four rear USB ports were occupied, I joined the unit via the included power supply connector and the audio cable. The sound was rotten. The even found my wife, who otherwise shows no interest in such things. Plan B: Connecting to the sample at the two front USB ports and lo and behold, the sound was much better. Apparently, because only so the built-in sound card is active as a sound enhancer.

To end the temporary, I had consequently a USB hub order, so still around 8 EUR on top. Thanks to Amazon, the part was twitching as jerk and now I was able to connect the Bamster directly on the PC and without the power supply connector and the audio cable.

Now the next problem: The speaker sends the sound waves due to its design principle inclined upwards. If you use the part of a significantly elevated position, eg on a notebook, which is favorable. My Monitor + Bamster are however on the computer table, in an ergonomically favorable, so elevated position. That reminds me shines the thing over his head away. Solution: The Bamster slightly forward tilted back supported on the monitor stand and already agrees the angle is hardly noticeable.

After a few days of use now the bottom line: The sound is ok, no more, no less. Bass I do not need, there's not, where should also come? Where no displacement is ... The design is pleasing, space-saving, the volume control can be good use and it only needs one cable for connection (if at least two USB ports are available with power supply!).

More than three stars are for me the best will not.
