This novel is too close of the last, most disappointing, Tony Hillermann; relations Chee & Bernie, between "hero" in general, take precedence over too the mood Tony H. had managed to instill in its Masterpieces on Canvas, which transported us there. The plot is also quite simplistic: where T.Hillerman sowed 4-5 tracks with no apparent link to the original subtly converge to the same plot, A.Hillermann merely a linear wire. Finally Anne H. too much emphasis on superficial feelings (and that thing drag me, and find me sexy Machine), it seems to read a novel 'feminist' more than a thriller. Too bad because the author has managed to show some aspects of World Hillermann, but clearly lacks the spark.
