Not bad ... but (currently) not good

Caveat: What you need necessarily in my case (for Opel Vivaro with CD30MP3 radio), an additional ISO adapter set to grind the amplifier unit in the speaker circuit of the vehicle. Alternatively, of course, can be cut and wire the whole self all plug (car radio and Parrot). The adapter set is however IMHO the better alternative.

First of all, the device - if it does so because after not uncomplicated installation, as it has provided the manufacturer - really excellent! I was initially excited about this tablet. The advantage to "Billliglösungen" in this case is that the telephone connection is looped directly into the car radio and played through the car speakers. The radio is muted when a call. The criticism in other reviews, this device requires, in contrast to other manufacturers, a significant and timely installation costs are, therefore, not be appropriate, since in this case comparing apples with pears.

The advantages of this hands-free are:

+ Speech recognition and pronunciation of the device software very well (in German!)
+ Playback of various media (SD, Bluetooth, USB) problems and possible in excellent quality
+ Title Search by voice recognition
+ Making calls remotely and synchronized phone book actually almost "handsfree" possible
+ Sufficiently large, clear, high-contrast monitor

However, my enthusiasm came to an abrupt end, after I had the current (March 2015) recorded German update. When commissioning the unit calls for a forced update of the firmware. Because Forums reports I opted for the US version, but that failed for unknown reasons and that caused there were no further requests for updates. At this time, the device worked, as I said, excellent. Since the update on the (current) German version, however, the supplied microphone in conjunction with a work (compatible according Parrot list) Acer E700 (E39) no longer. Due to lack of available official older firmware versions, the problem can no longer eliminate.
This is the main function - Handsfree - no longer available and the unit until further notice only a rather expensive "Media Player".

The assistance service responded in my case within the promised 48 hours my cover letter and suggested that I (unfortunately ineffective) solutions. Currently "temporary" remedy seems only an importing the original firmware on the device to be. Let's see when I get the information to download from Parrot.

Negative Punke are:
- For "non-experts" very complicated device installation, since no "plug & play compatible"
- Compatibility of the manufacturer for usable mobile phones obviously "non-binding"
- Automatic day night switch does not practical because the respective brightness can not be adjusted separately
- Looping through the Internet connection of the mobile phone via Bluetooth does not work reliably (not in most cases)
- Internet software of limited use (presentation conditionally)
- Very limited (and sometimes very expensive) Zusatzsoftwarebereitsellung (Apps)

PS: an HTC Desire HD works properly with the latest firmware, a Samsung 8 "Tablet is no sound from the speakers from the microphone works! However, as more sites seem to be open...

ADDENDUM: even after 4 weeks no new response from Parrot on my new request with a request for an alternative firmware (downgrading). For that I now prefer times a ZIP code because, unfortunately, the device still does not work without problems since the purchase.
