Have bought the phone jack, as we have in the newsroom a Audio-Technica microphone for reporter, which is to be inserted into our NIKON camera, so that the sound comes directly on the audio track below the video. The plug can be pushed into dei camera, but does not attack, so it's a gamble whether the recording succeeds, rushes or a NULL-round will. I would rather try another adapter. For headset and smartphone no problem.
