Compared to Diana Krall's ironed, easy-listening studio recording, live recording like me clearly besser.Hier is temporarily geswingt rousing, improvised and overall significantly more risk, it does not sound quite as bar music at a high Niveau.Frau Krall may well singing and very well play the piano, overwhelming it is to be incorporated but not.If one as it is considered a world star and interpreted as in this recording classics from the Great American Songbook, one must willy-nilly, the comparison with the greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Shirley Bassey, and so put up with it and because it does not cut off particularly well, of course she meets every sound, her voice is pleasant, something rauhig and has a high Wiedererkennungswert.Andererseits is limited her vocal range quite high sounds she avoids and if so, the sound something gepresst.Die emotions affect me rehearsed, it lacks that certain "goose bumps" .The piano I like better, it reminds stylistically something to Oscar Peterson - but is miles away from its virtuosity, improvisation and musicality away (an admittedly unfair comparison). The accompanying musicians and interaction are very good, there is plenty of room for improvisation, but which sind.Die rather conventional and predictable imaging technique is - as always with Diana Krall - excellent. Overall, I find the CD well done, it offers a lot more jazz atmosphere than the studio recordings, there is no weak, but not outstanding Stücke.Alles in all mass-compatible Jazz (which constitutes indeed Diana Krall's success), to also die-hard jazz musicians with no regrets can listen.
