what is good?
The special feature of the game is an original mechanism of how to set the order of play. The game does not turn. Man moves his pawn on a special board. The plates are placed there as a track. At the train is always the last on the track. It then takes a tile at this track, and puts his pawn on the field just yet lay the tile on. You can skip a few tiles so at any time, thereby but using possibly longer.
Platelets with Spezialfuntionen give this Mechansismus a kick: some give extra resources, in other can be activated, for example, own fields out of turn.
What's not so good?
Apart from the pulling mechanism all elements act known and readily zusammengeklaubt.
- Trains of each player take a bit too long. It is difficult to plan ahead, dancah the player has to solely by the plate selection, the creation and activation sequence work is not the space for interaction.
- The end of the game seems not very elegant. Some boosters are too strong, and runs it unfavorably, then you have nothing to do at the end, or no longer takes his turn.
- The theme comes across Scotland and has just little to do with a tile bar. Also historically it does not fit: the Clan beings mattered to the mid-18th century. The sheep, however, was enforced strengthened after the decline of the clan system.
- The game material is lukewarm. The board is thin and looks cheap. The nonsensical plastic insert in the box is also such a goof by the publisher.
Overall impression
Although the game has its weaknesses and some sloppy comes along, it makes with casual gamers fun and gets solid 3 stars from me. If you like Carcassone and a little more sophisticated gaming experience seeks is certainly well advised. Much Player is recommended voreriges Preview.
