It is hardly installed unwanted software.
Outwardly it looks like a 1000 laptop. The quality is excellent for the price, but can not keep up in all the details with a MacBook Air (for example, you can not simply put the laptop on the table and opened with one hand.)
But this 250 laptop allows him simply close them and later unfold again, he is ready to go, wake up not annoying or anything.
Windows 8.1 works perfectly. How slow is this laptop you do not realize actually. (But installations last felt a little longer than with a Surface Pro 2.)
The HP stream 13 has only 32GB of local storage. Of these, at first about 10GB free. 10GB and 10GB are occupied Windows recovery partition. UPDATE: The recovery partition can not be deleted because Windows needs them (keyword: WIM boot). This laptop is if you Office installed fully in principle. Since HP has saved in the wrong place.
The screen is nice, though not exactly in high resolution. But screens with very high resolution are under Windows with many programs anyway rather problematic.
The ports on this computer I would describe as almost perfect: Headset, MicroSD card, 3 USB (which unfortunately only a USB3 is), HDMI, power, and Kensington Lock.
The speakers are loud enough, though not exactly a sound experience.
The laptop is not full of stickers, or the like, a single Intel Inside sticker, nothing else.
The keyboard and touchpad are among the best I've used so far. I was really amazed at the touchpad is the first touch pad on a Windows laptop, which I really like. Only I would recommend the mouse to adjust a little bit faster.
The laptop could be fan-less, if not, I have not heard him. Very pleasant. Too hot it is not.
A touch screen would have rounded off this laptop for me and internationally there is also a touch screen model, however, this seems not to be available. The same applies to a version with cellular.
Overall, strong buy recommendation, but you should be aware: this is not a gaming laptop.
