What was broken?
First, not all segments lit up the scoreboard. Among other things, was the Power icon, showing an illuminated circle, lit only in sections.
Worse: The functions "Heat milk" and "boil water" does not work. This is exactly what I had but the board bought. At least one other review here writes of the same problem at least boil the water: Actually, the plate should turn off when the temperature is reached with a beep. But it does not. Neither milk (which then continues to boil briefly and then cooled in a regular rhythm) even in water that just keep cooking until it has completely evaporated.
We have tried with different pots (iron and steel) and various quantities.
Once you can so unlucky ... but twice in a row and at other reviewers also?
Regardless, I would like at this point still write that I think the principle newly introduced Amazon the "Vine Customer Reviews" for highly questionable. When I ordered the product, it was for this hob exclusively "Vine" -Rezensionen. All positive. The reviewers I will assume nothing ... but who says that the products that they get paid, have not previously been specially selected by the manufacturer / checked? For as Amazon writes: "The products are provided by publishers, studios, producers or vendors who participate in the program."
And even more critical: It arises for Amazon here an opportunity to influence the ratings at your convenience: Writes one reviewer often critical, then he gets up any items donated. Positive contrast Schreiber invited -Rezensenten in the illustrious circle of "Vine", get products and then also be enhanced write positively about it. Conversely, Amazon could also assign certain products reviewers who write negatively reinforced and thus damage this product. For example, where a product competes with a product Amazon own.
I am not suggesting that Amazon does this - but it would be at least the theoretical possibility.
I had the hot plate for exactly this reason almost not ordered and then not done: With the above-described result.
Two stars means for the product: "I do not like".
